BIAS SHORES HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

Welcome to the home page of the Bias Shores Homeowners Association, representing homeowners and their interests in the Bias Shores subdivision in Duck, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks.

Bias Shores is an ocean-to-sound community located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, between the Atlantic Ocean and Currituck Sound. A close walk to both the ocean and the sound, the community has 49 house sites and still has open, undeveloped lots. Excellent restaurants, shops, and recreational facilities are close-by, and links to some of these are available in our "links list" below.

The Bias Shores community offers the following private amenities for the use of residents and guest renters:

• Large pool, poolhouse, with shower facilities, large deck with lounge chairs and tables
• Two tennis courts
• Sound walkway and pier at the Currituck Sound for unparalleled sunset views, crabbing, kayaking, and other water sports
• Boat slip and moorings, at the soundside pier
• Atlantic Ocean beach walkway and gazebo
• Attractive entrance signs identifying the community
• Limited parking at sound and ocean front access.

Note: Keys are required for entrance to pool/poolhouse, tennis courts, and soundfront pier. These should be provided by your rental agency. If you do not receive them, contact your rental agency. Homeowners can receive additional keys from the property manager, by calling 252-261-1215

NOTICES FOR ALL HOMEOWNERS AND RENTERS:
FIREWORKS. Fireworks of any kind are now prohibited for use within the town of Duck, which includes Bias Shores. Fines apply to violators. Please help us to observe these fire and safety rules.

TRASH PICKUP. During the main season, trash is collected twice a week -- each Monday and Friday morning (no longer Thursdays!) between May 1st and September 30th. Between October 1st and April 30th, the once weekly residential pickup is on Monday. To avoid missed collections, place the collection bin at the curbside the night prior or on the day of collection no later than 5:30am. Once trash has been collected, PLEASE remove the trash bin from the street and put it back under or alongside the house. DO NOT PLACE TRASH OUTSIDE OF THE TRASH BIN. Only refuse WITHIN the bin will be collected.

RECYCLING. At present, there are no nearby recycling points. If you are renting, you may want to take your recycling home; otherwise, put recycled materials into the trash bin.
